Whaddya mean, you don’t like sprouts !
This popular – and easy – way of cooking sprouts might just change the minds of any of you who don’t love Brussels Sprouts !
Heat a frying pan and fry 8oz/250g of chopped pancetta or smoked streaky bacon on a high heat for 5 minutes or so until it’s crispy and golden-brown. Turn off the heat.
Bring a saucepan of salted water to the boil and add the sprouts. Boil for about 5-7 minutes. Taste – they should be slightly undercooked.
Drain the sprouts, turn on the pan again and heat together for a couple of minutes. Check seasoning and serve immediately.
